Paper, album, 35 pages. The whole album has 34 letters, and can be divided into three categories by recipient: first, six letters to Weiren with seven pages in total, affixed with the seals of “Li Jian's seal”, “Shiding”, “Weiren”, “Lu Bangjie”, “Bangjie's seal”, “Zheng's collection”, “Bolin”, “Master Jingyuan”, etc.; second, two letters to Li Zhengfu with two pages in total, no seal; third, 26 notes, affixed with the seals of “Li Jian's seal”, “Monk Shiding”, “Caocao”, “Wunai Taijian”, “Lei's collection”, “Yungu collection”, “Ye Menglong's collection”, “Qitian treasure”, etc. This piece was formerly collected by Li Xiangen, and donated to us by his eldest son-in-law in 2007..

Li Jian (1747-1799), also known as Jianmin, Shiding, Kuangjian or Erqiao, was from Bijiao Village, Shunde, Guangdong. He was known for excellent poetry, calligraphy and painting..
